The other day, my teacher was trying to compare the recent Swine Flu outbreak to "the illness outbreak of 1918", but she couldn't remember what illness it was. I told her it was the Spanish Influenza, and she was quite impressed. Thank you Stephenie Meyer, for helping me in history. MLIT.

wow, stephanie meyer is actually useful for something? News to me since last time I checked (ten seconds ago) she was talentless hack, total sop, obsessed with making a morman piece of shit book (seriously the entire book has morman references and Edward resembles the complete perfection of the morman messiah), a stupid twittering schoolgirl/mother, shows latent desires to be abused, is a self insert in her own book as BELLA SWAN, is raping the future of the world by publishing all this tripe. and last but not least..is a horrid writer :) Go read Eragon or something by Carol Berg and try to replenish your braincells. :)

Spanish Influenza = Common Knowledge. Stephenie is good for nothing, and, apparently, so is your teacher.

Swine flu doesn't even compare to the Spanish Influenza. Swine flu is just like the regular flu, just a different strain. In total, swine flu had about 14, 286 deaths. The spanish influenza killed at least 50 million people. Oh, and by the way, the REGULAR flu kills at least 300,000 people per year. So there's really no comparison between swine flu and the spanish influenza. By the way, how did your teacher not remember the flu name? Even more intriguing, why would you thank Stephenie Meyer for something you should already know?

So you knew absolutely nothing about the Spanish Influenza until you read Tw!l!ght? And I doubt you can name anything else Ms. Meyer taught you besides to obsess over imaginary characters that will never exist or love you.

So you need some fictional book to help you with THAT? It's one of the most know sicknesses in history! Idiot.

Some people may not be as incredible in history as others. If @Alex finds a fun and easier way to remember some history by the Twilight Saga, let it be.

Or you know, you could actually pay attention in class to put some intellegence in your brain instead of depending on books whose literacy is half your level.

you're all idiots. sorry to break it to you but spanish flu is swine flu. it's the exact strain. it's just that most of the people alive today have descended from the survivors which is why we're so resistant to it.

Stephanie Meyer taught me that true love means subjecting yourself to physical domination, stalking, and emotional manipulation.
