Today in gym class we were playing sports trivia. My teacher asked me what major event happened in 1918, of course I replied "ummmm... Edward became a vampire!" Apparently that wasn't the right answer. 15 dirty looks later, it was still worth it! MLIT

1918 was when WWI ended and the Spanish flu began. Millions and millions of lost lives are not worth your sick obsession, actually. Try this little thing called "respect for real people."

I wasn't aware that world war one and the Spanish flu had anything to do with sports trivia. By all means if you think answering that question about a sports event in 1918 with WWI and the Spanish flu was right then hahahahaha I'm sure you would have received the same looks. Before you try to make someone else look dumb please look at your own dumb answer. Yeah some twilight obsessions are a little crazy but what are you doing in here if you hate it so much? The real answer was probably that the Red Sox won the world series that year and traded Babe Ruth to the Yankees and that started one of the biggest rivalries in sports history and created a curse for the Red Sox who then went 86 years without a world series ring. If that's not right its still a lot closer than the Spanish flu and WWI because while you were being serious...she was only having fun with twilight. If you hate this so much please find something else to do. I know you can't really be that pathetic.

@Twilighter_Alice: I am not even going to try to explain why you love twilight. But harry potter actually has well developed characters, a well developed plot, and the writing style is amazing. Stephen King FTW

@Haha: Yes, because turning people into vampires is a sport. The Correct answer would be, Madame Hooch flies on her first broomstick. (It works with the timeline.) And why we are here? Have you noticed that almost every post needs more Twilight? Yeah, that's us.

@Twilighter_Alice: 1.) Twilight is very poorly written from a literate's point of view, ESP compared to HP. Pretending I like/hate both plots equally, Twilight's literary aspects are poorly developed and the paragraphs upon paragraphs of how 'perfect' Edward is takes off about a million points on the spot. However, comparatively, the Harry Potter series are exquisitely written and you can tell the author takes time to truly contemplate what she is writing and the results are phenomenal. 2.) Now taking into the account of the plot. Twilight....Book 1- The mousy, masochistic girl meets and dates a walking discoball who also happens to be a pedophile and a stalker. The entire story is about complications in their relationships and Bella's stupidity. Book 2- This book is dedicated to how horrible and empty a teenage girl's life should be if her sparkly boyfriend that she's known for a couple months leaves her, therefore ending their teenage romance. Note: Edward should be put on suicide watch. Book 3- More complications in their relationship. Basically a war caused by their relationship. Nice going. Book 4- part 1 is basically this: the have sex. They make a baby far earlier than they should. It results in a very bloody birth. Part 2- They have sex a lot. Then they nearly start a war for making a baby they shouldn't have made. ..........Now, as of Harry Potter, it basically describes a journey of a boy to fight evil and avenge the death of his parents while saving his world from the murders/ fear of the Dark Lord. So you tell me which book is better.

Hmm, only fifteen. Make that sixteen. *dirty look* Also, Edward was supposed to be put in the ground. Not to be some sparkly assfucker. Vampires don't exist and don't deserve any relevance with reality.

@OP: What they wanted you to say was that 1918 was when WW1 ended. But Edward also became a vampire in 1918
