I watched the movies. I couldn't stop laughing. Twilight continues to follow the "awesome graphics, suckish plot" line. Robert Pattinson acts constipated. I didn't even bother to learn the name of the girl who plays Bella; we all know she won't be acting after this series... thank the gods...

#21 - Aug 27, 2010 05:10 PM by deathtoallthingssparkly

^well if it strictly followed the 'awesome graphics, suckish plot' thing, it would have been at least half as good as Avatar. I'm not saying I liked that movie very much, as it was simply Pocahontas with smerfs on steriods, but it was a hell of a lot better than Twilight. Graphics a hell of a lot better too. And why didn't they give Rob a computerized sixpack instead of forcing us to look at his flab?

@Visirium- I admit, it might be funny if they flipped shit and cried at the slightest insult to edward or whoever. But the problem is most of them don't, and you are more often than not insulting the people who like Twilight, along with their intelligence, character and social life, and not Twilight itself. So, therefore it makes this not as funny as it could be, and makes you look like a low life jerk, with in fact no self esteem.

Yeah, if you have no comprehension of what good acting, good screenplay, good effects, good cinematography, good dialog, good editing, or good plot line are. NOW, granted, this was not the worst movie I have ever seen (that title belongs to "The Last Airbender, for I left the theater 30 minutes after it started; I've never left the theater before), it was definitely one of the worst ones made. The entire film was a cinematic fail. On a scale of 1-100 percent, I think I'd give this movie about a 14%. It was very, VERY bad. And yes, I've read all the books and seen all the movies thus far. Hey, did you guys know that apparently, Eclipse is being reopened for the weekend in honor of Bella's birthday on Monday? Two reasons why this is stupid. 1.) Why go this far to celebrate a fictional character's birthday? 2.) Today is 9/11. We should be celebrating than instead of Bella's damn birthday.

Yes, today is 9/11 and everyone should recognize and remember that, but that doesn't mean we have to stop living. I am just going to say this: there is NO REASON why anyone should be THIS obsessed with a book. Especially a book that is at a fourth-grade reading level, and an obvious rip-off of "Queen of the Damned." You can be a fan of it if you want, but it is not that special. The vampire series that I read is 100x better than Twilight, but I am no where near as obsessed with it as other people are with these books. It has to stop. It's annoying, and it's just plain embarrassing. When everyone FINALLY grows up, they're gonna look back and wonder WTF they were thinking when they blew all their college money on a silver volvo, were dry-humping a life-size Edward cut-out, and broke up with the greatest boyfriend they'd ever had just because he wasn't Jacob. Seriously people, come back to reality and get on with your lives and act like normal people. "MY LIFE IS WAS AND ALWAYS WILL BE TWILIGHT!!!!!! @_@ @_@ @_@" That's basically like saying your life is virtually meaningless without a fictional book. Sad, sad, sad.

@vampiresdontsparkle- It's actually better not to see the midnight showing. My friend saw it and she was really tired and falling asleep. Now you'll be more alert. I saw it and I cried at the end... not telling you why!

First of all: you obviously haven't seen Harry Potter. Second of all: to the person saying twilight is the new Harry Potter, you are mistaken my friend. Don't you ever compare Harry Potter to that sad thing you call twilight.

I saw it the day before it came out, and I'm not even really a fan . . . . My friend got free tickets so we went to see it . . . it was funny in that way where it's stupid so you laugh at it. Honestly, the guy I sat next to who kept shouting obnoxiously with all the lame teenage girls was more entertaining. The book was fine, but they botched the movies.

I want to know who Kristen Stewart (or however you spell it) knows that resulted in her landing that role. She has absolutely no facial expression, and though she has the proper tones (most of the time), she's an awful actress. Really, she is.

See? the difference between us potterheads and you twihards is that most of us ACTUALLY READ TWILIGHT, we dont criticize without knowing. That being said, the books bored me to death, and the movies.... ugh. Even Robert Pattinson didnt like them.

^ "He sees you when you're sleeping..." Yep, he must be Santa Claus! Or, reading that last part, I can come up with the theory (or conjecture, whichever you prefer) that Edward is some kind of Satanic Santa! Oh, also, considering how Cedric (ahem... Robert Pattinson) didn't like his role as Edward, it's actually a pretty good assumption that Kristen didn't like her role as Bella, either!

as KatyBell said, most of the harry potter fans actually read twilight. i can tell you exactly what both books are about. harry potter=a young boy and his family are attacked by a murderous villain. his parents die and he has to go live with his aunt and uncle. he goes to hogwarts and makes friends that actually care about him. he spends the rest of his life fighting for his friends lives and they do the same for him. this story is about loyalty, friendship, and loving your friends enough to do anything for them. twilight=a girl moves from a town to another town. even though she really isn't that attractive, several extremely hot guys fall for her. The story includes a lot of skipping school and talk of sex. harry potter took years to write. twilight was about a dream that stephanie meyer had. harry potter teaches that no matter what staying with friends and family will always make you stronger. twilight teaches you that it's okay to ditch your friends if you like a guy. harry potter was well thought out and completely original. twilight has every single cliché in it possible. Cliché #1: The new girl in school who is awkward and clumsy and terrible at everything. How many times have we seen and read this? Cliché #2: The new girl falling in love with the hottest guy in school (Edward). No one saw that coming. Cliché #3: Despite the new girl's awkwardness and plain looks, the hottest guy in school falls in love with her. The epitome of originality, am I right? *sarcasm* Cliché #4: The new girl is hopelessly in love with the hottest guy in school to the point where you want to slap her because she'll do literally everything and anything the hottest guy in school will tell her to do just for him. Cliché #5: The vampire (who is the hottest guy in school), despite his love for the new girl, thirsts for her blood and struggles to control his bloodlust. Wow. Cliché #6: The vampire is a good vampire who doesn't want to hurt humans, so he feeds off of animals instead. *cough* Louis from Interview with the Vampire *cough* Cliché #7: The vampire thinks he's a monster and that the new girl should stay away from him if she values her life... ...stephanie meyer is dumb. she fantasizes about hot guys that could not possibly ever be real and writes like a teenage girl.
