I was a die-hard Twilight fan until I realized they Bella and Edward have a unhealthy and unrealistic relationship. Now I think Twilight is a cute story, but that's all. I prefer fantasy with much more imagination and complexity: Runelords, Wizard's First Rule, Song of Ice and Fire, Wherl of Time, even McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern. And I can't leave out Tolkien, of course :). I read LOTR years before the movies came out.
I don't understand Team Edward and Team Jacob. Edward wins. Read the books. Edward wins. Where's the debate? Personally, I'd take Jacob. Edward's pretty emo. Also, Jacob's hot :D
I find a few of the posts here funny or cute, most are stupid, and a few show such a level of obsession with Twilight that I worry about the OP being able to distinguish reality from fantasy. I'll respect what anyone has to say, though, as long as it's intelligently done :).
