Harry Potter so owns over Twilight. Don't believe me? Check out the facts:
1. The HP books are better, more entertaining, and just better all around.
2. Twilight has no plot
3. HP characters develop (emotionally, and mentally) over the course of the series. T characters do not.
3. J.K. Rowling based HP on legends, myths, and some factual events. T was based on a dream that Stephanie Meyer had.
4. HP has so many more characters. So far Caroline has counted 187. While T, if it is lucky has about 50.
5. All the HP characters are significant to the plot in some way
6. Some T fans claim that HP has no romance. IT DOES. Except that it develops over 7 years, starting from friendship, gradually escalating to something more.
7. There is no teen pregnancy in HP.
8. The HP actors don't smoke or do drugs.
9. Some T fans claim that Rob Pattinson left HP for T. NOT TRUE. RP's character was killed, so there was no need for RP anymore.
10. There are so many more species in HP. I mean you've got centaurs, werewolves, veela, goblins, house elves, unicorns, acromantula, boggarts, giants, threstals--well, you get the idea. T only has humans, vampires, and werewolves, all of which HP also has.
11. The HP books are of better quality.
12. The sets, special effects, and scenery used in HP is better.
13. HP is just so much more entertaining.
14. While some T fans claim that 'they need a dictionary to understand HP', well that's their problem for not being smart enough to understand HP, not J.K. Rowling's problem.
15. Some T fans claim that there isn't any schooling in HP. FALSE. Just because Hogwarts is a wizarding school doesn't mean that it doesn't qualify as school.
16. HP actually has action in it. The most action T has is in the end of the 4th book where they all prepare for a battle that doesn't even happen.
17. There are more HP books.
18. There are more HP movies.
19. The HP soundtracks were made especially FOR the movie, the T soundtracks were compiled of songs that the artist had never intended to be used for the soundtrack
20. T fans claim that Forks is a real town, and Forks High is a real high school. J.K. never states what town Hogwarts is in, so there's no way to tell if it's based a real school or not.
21. Quidditch is so much more entertaining than 'vampire baseball'. Quidditch requires skill and training. Vampire baseball only requires strong and fast vampires, which in T all the vampires are strong/fast, so it doesn't require any skill.
22. The Death Eaters could so 'avada kedavra' the Volturi's butts!
23. T fans claim that HP characters are ugly. No, HP characters are realistic looking, T characters are not
24. The other group that claims that T is better than HP only has 10 reasons why they think so, WE have 24 legitimate reasons why HP is better.
25. Harry Potter has video games.
26. T is just like Romeo and Juliet. Two people who can't be together fall in love. Edward is dead, and Bella dies just to be with Edward. You tell me how similar they are.
27. Some T fans say that they can picture themselves in a T scene better than in a Harry Potter scene because it's in a real place with real world things. So they can picture themselves in a meadow with a vampire that's sparkling? If you take a scene from Harry Potter, like when Harry, Ron, Luna, Ginny, and Neville go to save Sirius, you can picture yourself going to save the last person in your family that you care about.
28. T fans have reasons that T is better than Harry Potter, such as 'the characters are hotter' or 'the cover art is better'. The cover art isn't better than Harry Potter's. With Harry Potter, you can see a scene that happens and gives you an insight into the book. With T, there is a lady holding an apple. I personally don't see how that's better.
29. The characters' names fit into their personalities. Luna Lovegood- kind of a weird name. Luna is a strange person. Snape-evil, mysterious, has greasy hair. Voldemort-it actually means theft of death in French. Bella Swan-I don't see how the name describes her.
30. J.K. Rowling using Latin words for her spells. She also had to come up with words for the series.
